“Grateful, Grounded and Just Getting Started”:  On Being Named a ColoradoBiz Top Woman in Colorado

A Letter from Pamela Downes, Founder, Aspire Medical Spa:

“On July 30, 2026, I had the incredible honor of being named one of ColoradoBiz’s 2026 Top Women in Colorado. Standing among so many accomplished women at the celebration at Denver’s iconic Mile High Station was both humbling and energizing.

ColoradoBiz has been recognizing women who are making meaningful contributions to their professions, communities and society, and to be included among this year’s honorees is something I will carry with me. The event brought together an extraordinary group of entrepreneurs, executives, professionals and community leaders, and it was a wonderful reminder of just how much talent, determination and heart exists in Colorado.

And what a setting for the celebration. Mile High Station’s distinctive industrial character made it a memorable backdrop for an evening devoted to Colorado women who are building, leading and giving back. There was something especially fitting about celebrating achievement in a space with so much personality and history.

I am also grateful to ColoradoBiz Magazine for shining a spotlight on women who are helping shape Colorado’s business community. Recognition like this is meaningful because it gives us an opportunity not just to celebrate individual accomplishments, but to recognize the people and communities behind them.

For me, there is no question that this honor belongs to far more than one person.

When I founded Aspire Medical Spa in 2015, I had a vision for creating a different kind of aesthetic experience, one built around relationships, education, individualized care and helping people feel confident in their own skin. Eleven years later, Aspire has grown to three Colorado locations in RiNo, Arvada and Edgewater.

But Aspire didn’t grow because of me alone. It grew because of the remarkable team I have had the privilege of building.

Our providers and staff bring expertise, compassion, curiosity, and commitment to work every day. I am incredibly proud of the culture we have created together that values professional development, collaboration and, most importantly, the trust our clients place in us.

And then there are our patients. Aspire’s community is wonderfully diverse, and I am continually inspired by the people who walk through our doors. They come to us with different backgrounds, experiences, ages, goals, and reasons for investing in themselves. What connects them is the trust they place in our team.

That loyalty has allowed Aspire to grow while staying true to the principles that mattered to me when we opened our first location: personalized care, education, natural-looking results and genuine relationships.

I also believe that a successful business has a responsibility to be part of the community that supports it. Whether that means creating opportunities for women within Aspire, supporting organizations like SafeHouse Denver, or simply being a good neighbor, community has always been part of how I define success.

So while I am deeply honored to be recognized as a ColoradoBiz Top Woman, I see this award as a reflection of something much bigger than an individual accomplishment.

It represents a team that believes in what we are building. It represents thousands of Colorado clients who have trusted us with their care. And it represents a community that has supported Aspire from one location to three.

I left Mile High Station that night feeling grateful, not finished. There is still so much to build, learn and give back.

Thank you to ColoradoBiz, to my incredible Aspire team, and to every client who has trusted us along the way. This recognition belongs to all of us.

And I’m excited for what comes next.”
