What is PRP?
PRP is a high concentration of platelets suspended in plasma and is a cutting-edge treatment for hair restoration. PRP contains vascular endothelial growth factors which signal protein produced by cells to stimulate the formation of blood vessels. This is important for hair restoration because hair follicles must be attached to a vessel in order to thrive.
PRP Injections for Hair Loss Treatment
PRP treatment begins by a trained phlebotomist collecting a small amount of the patient’s blood. The blood is then spun in a centrifuge to separate red blood cells from the platelets. For the best results we recommend patients opt to use our Genius Centrifuge which offers the most concentrated PRP available. We highly recommend patients add Amnio to their PRP treatment. Amnio is 100x more concentrated in growth factors than PRP. Using Genius PRP and Amnio offers patients the best results possible
Prior to treatment, the injection site is numbed to ensure treatment is as comfortable as possible. The injections are targeted to areas on the scalp and hairline with the most hair loss. Downtime after treatments is minimal and may result in some redness or bruising.
We recommend starting with a series of 4 treatments spaced 1 month apart. Following the initial series maintenance treatments are required for optimal results.
